Rob Howard: Vocals

............................international man of mystery

Dave Smith: Guitar

First gig was at college playing bass and taking lead vocals for Rock Covers band Rhino!

Moved to Sheffield and formed cult band The Sweetie Boys after a switch to guitar. Local press darlings and tipped for success along with the Human League in 1984, but imploded after playing Live Aid supporting Screaming Lord Sutch!

After that formed the Absolute with ex members of Pulp and the Mau Maus, initially on guitar, but ultimately on guitar and Lead Vocals.

A goth band that morphed into a pseudo rap metal band in the style of Faith No More, highlights were supporting the Damned and headlining Rock City, but the band folded in the early 2000's

After a few years in the musical wilderness, we formed Kingspan as a covers band from the ashes of the Absolute, which became Sushi Belushi.

Gear: Gibson Les Paul, PRS Tremonti, Engl Fireball.............and LOADS of pedals :o)

Rob Appell: Drums

I have always known from being a toddler that I wanted to be a drummer; my first drum kit was mum's best set of upturned pans and 2 wooden spoons (sounded awesome!). I continued to bash the pans and started piano lessons at the age of 7.

My first band, Back Seat Wardrobe, was formed in Comprehensive School. Band influences were pretty varied; from early Floyd, Led Zep to UK Subs and Sex Pistols. Post student days I took on the role of drummer and lead singer in originals band, The Goldfish Club. I then had some time out to raise a family and formed Fire in 2004 - a 3 piece classic rock covers band.

After moving up north I joined Sushi Belushi in 2011 and have not looked back since!

Legend in the drumming world for me is John Bonham. As a self taught drummer, it is Bonham's style, technique and genius that has been my main source of inspiration.

Kit: Mapex M Series 5 piece, Cymbals: Dream Hi-Hats, Paiste, Zildjian, Pearl Crashes Sticks: Splintered!!

GARY PADGETT: BASS

Originally from West Yorkshire but I have been exiled most of my life - living in Nottinghamshire and, at present, Lincoln

I've played bass with a few bands of varied genres, including jazz, soul and folk rock, but my first loves have always been punk rock, and alternative rock, so I'm playing lots of the tracks I have always known and loved with Sushi Belushi.
